How We Serve

by igniting hope and opportunity through strategic, high impact funding.

Celebrating our Grantees

The Lynch Foundation has had the honor and privilege to support and partner with innovative non-profit organizations that positively impact our community. These organizations are led by extraordinary leaders who work tirelessly to carry out their missions and enrich the lives of the children and families they serve. We take great pride in celebrating our grantees and uplifting the important work they do through sharing their stories.

The Lynch Foundation views giving as an investment in humanity’s potential. With intention and care, we support a diverse range of organizations — from innovative start-ups brimming with promise to established institutions led by visionary leaders. By providing critical resources at pivotal moments, we bridge gaps, spark transformation, and create lasting opportunities. Together, we turn hope into action and empower communities to thrive.

Discover where your passion lies. Act on it. And you will accomplish great things.

Early Childhood Initiative

Founded in 2006, the Lynch Foundation's Early Education Initiative provides families access to affordable, high-quality early education, increases enrollment and revenue, and develops talented, diverse early childhood educators across our partner schools within the Archdiocese of Boston. The program has five key pillars, which include planning support for program expansion and redesign; high-quality and developmentally appropriate curricula and furniture; summer institute and professional development for leaders across the initiative; one-on-one coaching for classroom teachers; and access to scholarships for teachers to earn bachelor’s and master’s degrees with a commitment to remain within the initiative for two years upon graduation. The initiative has grown to serve 26 schools with over 140 classrooms serving nearly 2,200 students from ages three months to five years old. The Foundation is already working with three new schools to join the initiative in the 2025-2026 school year.

School Finance Model

The ultimate goal is to empower school leaders in tuition-based Catholic schools nationwide by providing a robust financial model. To achieve this, we aim to partner with organizations like FACTS, NCEA, and Catholic colleges to widely share this tool.

School Choice and Financial Sustainability Committee

Formed in 2022, the committee included Catholic school leaders and experts in school choice and finances. Over six months and five meetings, the team of:

  • Katie Everett, The Lynch Foundation, Committee Chair

  • Geofrey Boisi, Leadership Roundtable

  • John Eriksen, The Drexel Fund

  • Tara Gohlmann, Buckingham Browne & Nichols

  • Ed Kirby, Consultant

  • Father Brendan McGuire, St. Joseph Financial Services

  • Kathy Mears, FACTS Education Solutions

  • Tommy Shultz, AMerican Federation for Children

  • Sara Snider, William E. Simon Foundation

In summer 2022, The Lynch Foundation partnered with consultant Tara Gohlmann and intern Daphne Barrientos-Vega to design the school finance model. They organized data, developed the model, and refined it through multiple iterations. In 2023, the model was shared with school leaders nationwide, incorporating feedback to finalize a versatile tool for diverse school structures.

A Day to Lead with Faith and Act with Purpose

Peter Lynch Day was established in 2023 to honor Peter for his leadership and lifelong commitment to ensuring that Catholic education provides hope, prosperity, and opportunity for students faculty and families of all backgrounds, cultures, and faiths for generations to come.

The annual day of service is an opportunity for schools to celebrate Peter’s values and pass them along to their school communities while having fun!
