About The Lynch Foundation
Co-Founder's WELCOMEMy husband Peter and I have always shared a strong faith in the importance of giving, as well as a profound devotion to caring for our neighbors, which is why we established The Lynch Foundation. For over a quarter century, our family, our Board of Trustees and our partners have enjoyed a common understanding of the role of philanthropy and the qualities that make charitable work both worthy and successful. This shared purpose has blessed us with the opportunity to positively impact the general welfare of our community, specifically in the endeavors of health care, education, museum work and religious institutions.

Both Carolyn and Peter Lynch came from modest homes. Children of educators, they went to public schools and attended college on scholarship. As they went on to exceptional careers, the Lynches remembered the importance of an education, and were always thankful for the people whose generosity and devotion made it possible. So in 1988, when professional success provided them with the opportunity to spread these values, they founded The Lynch Foundation.
The Lynch Foundation views giving as an investment, and places its resources in a diverse portfolio of sustainable organizations, from innovative and promising start-ups to well-established organizations with strong leadership. This allows The Lynch Foundation to serve the largest constituency and help its partners act as a catalyst for effective change.
The Lynch Foundation primarily supports programs that focus on education, cultural and historic preservation, healthcare and medical research as well as the religious and education efforts of the Roman Catholic Church. The Lynch Foundation’s relationship with its grantees is a partnership, with the foundation providing guidance, resources and a network to allow organizations to positively affect the most people possible.
